Rule 12
Plantation and protection of tree seedlings

(1) According to the existing Forest Act and Regulations, the consumer organization can plant trees on the edge or border (right of way) of the canal, branch canal, branch canal, culvert or cullet after approving the community forest action plan from the relevant forest office. While determining the location for tree planting, coordination with the relevant irrigation office will have to be done.
(2) Until the action plan according to sub-rule (1) is approved, the consumer organization may cut and sell the rotten or fallen trees on the banks or borders of canals, branch canals, branch canals, canals, and the borders of the following committees:-
(a) Chief Coordinator of the concerned Irrigation Office
(b) Representative member of the concerned District Development Committee
(c) Official level representative member of the concerned district administration office
(d) Official level representative member of the concerned District Forest Office
(e) Chairman member of the concerned consumer organization
(f) Representative member of the concerned District Irrigation Consumer Association
(3) Matters related to the meeting of the committee under sub-rule (2) shall be as determined by the committee itself.
